So, Paul reckons he has convinced me that his beloved past time of fishing is worthy of my consent. Who is he kidding?

It will come as no surprise to all you gals out there but a bit of a shock to you lads, that us gals pick one of you out from amongst the masses then proceed to tweak and change bits about you we can’t stand. The end goal is to have developed the perfect partner. I’m not stupid, I do realise there is a long way to go but I feel I should update you on my progress.

Since my work began, Paul now eats vegetables in addition to his one sprout forced down his neck by his Sister at Christmas. He loves the outdoors even when he’s not fishing. He loves his garden despite there not being a fish pond. He cooks and now knows how to clean stuff. He vacuums. He washes clothes. He has interests in history and politics. Incredible progress I’m sure you will agree.

Paul is work in progress and my remaining goals are to train him to spend less time looking at the fish counter in Sainsbury’s and to widen his taste in music and films to beyond Phil Collins and Rocky.
